ADOPT AN ELDER

Left: Elaine, a widow in the village of Old Oraibi (America's oldest & longest continuous village); and right: Thelma Scheshe, a traditional matriarch in the Pueblo of Zuni.

Thank you...

...to everyone who donated to our “Adopt an Elder” program through hopi.org. We were able to visit many of our friends the week of November 7-11 and deliver over $1,400 worth of food certificates, blankets and other items. The certificates are purchased from the Kykotsmovi Store (see photos on our Adopt an Elder page at www.hopi.org). It would not have been possible to bless so many families without your partnership. We count it a privilege to be able to share God's love with the Native peoples of America.

Jane and I also want to thank Jon Caprio, Steve & Debbie Luce and Paul Potter for giving their time from their jobs to be with us.

We also assisted the Hopi Mobile Library (above) and the Hopi Department of Early Intervention (Special Needs). We will be sending toys for 200 special needs "Hopi Angels" by the first week of December.
Please go to our “Adopt an Elder” page and click on the Paypal link at the bottom for your generous contribution of any amount.

TO HOPI...

Hopi kids & the village of Walpi on First Mesa

On Monday, November 7-11, Pastors Jack & Jane, Steve & Debbie Luce and Paul Potter will be going to the Hopi Villages in Northeastern Arizona.  The itinerary:
      Monday
Drive to Hopi.  En-route visit Joseph City Foursquare Church (all-Mormon community where we pioneered a Foursquare church many years ago from our church in Flagstaff) and visit our new (other) grandson in Winslow.  We will arrive on Hopi in the evening.
      Tuesday
Visit & bless the many traditional Hopi elders with donations from the church and through our Adopt an Elder program (http://hopi.org/adopt-an-elder).
      Wednesday
Drive to Window Rock (the Navajo capitol), Gallup and the Zuni Pueblo in New Mexico to visit Native & non-Native ministers & friends.
      Thursday
Back on Hopi to continue from Tuesday and do a children's event in the traditional village of Shungopavi.
      Friday
Drive back to Riverside via the Grand Canyon.

Thanks for praying for miraculous open doors.
